Ans-  Evelyn was seventeen ( 17) years old when she went to Royal Academy of Music.

Q-2 When was her deafness just noticed? When was it confirmed?
Ans- When she was eight years old ,her mother noticed her deafness.
It was confirmed when she was eleven years old.

Ans-  Ron Forbes, the percussionist helped Evelyn to pursue music.

Ron Forbes identified her potential.He be ga in to teach her by tuning two large drums to different notes. He adviced her to feel and music through the all parts of her body.

Ans-Evelyn,gives free concerts in prisons and hospitals.
She has made music her life and performing in many regular concerts.

Q-3 What does Evelyn say about,music?
Ans- About music she expresses her feelings that music pours through every part of her body. It tingles,in the skin, her cheekbones and even her hair.
When she plays the Xylophone, she feels the sound passing up the stick into her fingertips.By leaning against the drums, she feels resonance flowing into her body. She removes her shoes, when she stands on wooden platform so that the vibrations pass through her bare feet and up into her body.

Q-4  How  is Evelyn a source of great pleasure to her audience?
Ans-  Evelyn was a young girl. Even she was handicapped, she performed well. She was a great musician.She is an inspiration to the handicapped.

Q-5 How did Ron Forbes influence Evelyn to listen to Music and then play the instruments?
Ans- Ron Forbes who was a percussionist, sensed  her potential and motivated her to play the drums. He tuned two large drums to different notes and encouraged Evelyn to feel the rhythm instead of trying to hear it.
She then realized that she could sense certain notes in different parts of her body.

Q-6 What message do you get from the life of  Evelyn ?
Ans- Evelyn Glennie is herself a great motivation  for the handicapped.The message we learn that we should not allow adversity to come in the way of our  success. If once sense organ is damaged, make  good use of  the,other sensory organs but never give up hope. We should not give up just  because we don't know how to face challenges. Work towards success. Evelyn was hard worker and a workaholic. She had to work harder than classical musician because she Listened to all her sensory organs. She wanted to prove to herself and achieve perfection. she was a living legend to the world of less fortunate.
