Metaphor - to taste desire Alliteration -  S ome s ay the w orld w ill end in fire. S ome s ay in ice I hold with those who f avor f ire. A ntithesis - fire is the antithesis of ice. Imagery -   'Fire' and 'ice' stand for desire, passion and hatred, coldness in human relations
