Theme of the Poem
In this poem the poet shows the importance of freedom for animals. The poet shows his readers that a tiger is better suited to live in for east than in zoo. In this poem the poet describes how the tiger longs for its freedom. In forest the tiger can roam freely and can hunt when it needs food. But in zoo his strength is limited. He became helpless. On the other hand, in the zoo, its radius of movement is very small. It moves in the limited area and in nights it can't sleep because it is angry at being caged. All in all the tiger loves freedom and likes to live in forest.
